From the UK to OZ
It is true that our church planting team is made up nearly entirely of Australians. To be honest, I think that is the way it should be as we seek to plant a Church in Sydney (and no, I didn't need to attend Pastors College to figure that out... It's obvious, right)?
And yet I am so thrilled that there are at least a couple of families planning to head out with us to Sydney, from the UK. Simon & Michelle Wood (left) and Kayode & Christina Williams (centre). Both of these couples have been a part of Christchurch for a long time and are a serious example of the kindness of God to Emma and I. It has been so neat to see how God has stirred their hearts towards Australia, stirred even prior to knowing that we too were planning to head out.
Whatever the future holds, I am so humbled and excited to see the faith that God has put into their hearts to pursue this. It is exhilarating to watch and see the Lord at work in this specific way and so please pray for these two families as they make their plans for emigration. I am absolutely thrilled to have them on board... I have no doubt at all that they and their families will be a serious blessing both to us and the rest of the planting team!
